Walk for Hope – TEAM JJ
Saturday April 27, is the 10th Annual CHOP Walk for Hope, which raises money toward research for IBD. Our own Jacob Hoke was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. The Hokes are participating in this Walk, and have invited us to join them! This is a 2K Walk or 5K run, taking place at the Philadelphia Naval Yard. Registration starts at 8:00 AM. Fees are as follows: Adults, $25, Children ages 4-10, $10, Children under 4, free. All fees go towards research. Jesus' prayer was that we would be one. During this Lenten season, we are encouraging you to gather together in homes for a time of dessert and fellowship. You will have an opportunity to be a Host or a Guest for three consecutive Fridays leading up to Good Friday -- March 29, April 5, and 12. You are welcome to participate in all three weeks! Ladies’ Escape Room Event
Calling all ladies, you are invited to a night of fun, Thursday, April 4 at 7:00! We will be doing an Escape Room activity and topping off the night with frozen yogurt. We will be having a Good Friday Service, on April 19, at 7 pm, where we will share in Communion together. On Easter Sunday, we will have two morning services, the first at 9 am and the second at 11 am. Nursery will be provided for the 11 am service only. There will be an Easter Breakfast between the two services. Please join us!
Passover Seder Dinner
Tuesday, April 16, from 6 to 8:30, we will be having a Passover Seder Dinner here at 710 Collings. This is a family event, and your children are welcome! There is no cost to you, but we ask that you sign up in the foyer. If you are available to help at all (set up, clean up, cook) please let us know on the sign-up sheet. Thank you. Common Life Books
On April 21, 2019 we will celebrate together with people all over the globe, the most significant moment in the Christian calendar – Easter Sunday! The new Common Life Book is written in preparation and celebration of that day. Pick up your copy in the foyer today.
Our Selah Women’s Bible Study will be resuming on Tuesday, January 15 at 1:00 and Wednesday, January 16 at 7:00 pm, meeting in the Fireplace room. New schedules are available on the table in the Lobby. This study meets every other week. For more information, please contact Ruth Reamer or Adriana Willey. (Childcare is available on Tuesdays).
